Mind me asking what brought about this change of mind; from our lord and saviour of affordable sports cars into a slab of Teutonic tech?
![]() 12/21/2014 at 12:49 |

are you really serious ?
![]() 12/21/2014 at 12:51 |

Very Nice! What year?
![]() 12/21/2014 at 12:52 |

![]() 12/21/2014 at 12:53 |

Into a much better car.

I am now very jealous. Love the Rs4 with a passion.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 12:57 |

Twice the cylinders, twice the power, twice the doors, twice the driven wheels, I'd say that's a pretty good trade!
![]() 12/21/2014 at 12:57 |
|
Nice!
We also have an FRS and a RS7.
Good trade!
![]() 12/21/2014 at 12:58 |
|
Awesome! I'm jealous. It's not an Avant, but it's still awesome.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:00 |
|
One of my favorite cars of all time.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:00 |
|
There has never been an RS4 Avant in the U.S.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:02 |
|
I try to forget that unfortunate fact.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:06 |

nice. did you have to pay a premium because winter time?
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:06 |
|
10/10 awesome trade
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:09 |
|
yeah I believe the BRZ is more of a fun car than what the RS4 could be on a daily basis.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:10 |
|
that's a bit subjective, much better in a straight line sure it's got more bhp, much better at having fun as a daily I'm not so sure
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:12 |
|
Fun daily.....you do realize that the RS4 is a much more capable car right? It is LITERALLY the best DD and Family car.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:14 |

How hard would it be to bring them in on a special order basis. Its the same platform under the body and I'm assuming all of them are produced in the same factory seeing as most companies keep their performance divisions local to the main plant. What is to stop them from selling them on a special order basis if the demand is too low to keep a few in stock everywhere.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:15 |

I guess it just comes down to preference and what's required.
it'll be easier to get the BRZ to it's limits (where the fun is at) due to the low power so can be done more often daily on normal roads, however to get near the RS4's limits your likely to be breaking some laws to do so
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:16 |
|
I live in SoCal. It's about 60° F now. The car has summer tires on.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:17 |

Lots of regulation... U.S. laws...
![]() 12/21/2014 at 13:18 |
|
I have driven a FR-S and I can say it is much less of a car and ya it's limits are too easy. You will fall flat on your face with it. The RS4 may break laws doing its limits but thats the fun part. always on the edge.

If its the same basic frame underneath and same drive-train and essentially the same body shape until you get to the back of the car, it seems fairly stupid to keep it from being sold in the states. America has become less of the land of the free and more of the land stupid regulations put into effect by politicians who are far to old to hold to make basic decisions.

ah. i assumed the picture was yours.

Everyone I know who has had a BRZ/FRS has gotten rid of it within 2 years. They really aren't that good. I'm sure a RS4 is plenty of fun on a daily basis just like my M3 is (except not today as its snowing...should of got an RS4!) I bet that high strung V8 sounds amazing.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 14:22 |

Wanna trade for a few months? Its snowing here.
Congratulations on picking up a kickass car!
p.s. What color is it?

It is mine. It snows in the mountains.

It's Audi's business decision to not sell the car here. It's U.S. regulation that disallows importation of European models. It's more complicated than being a car with the same "frame" and engine. Weight class is different, emissions and fuel economy certification has to be different, and so does crash certification. Audi decided not to certify the car because they can't justify any business case. They only brought 2500 RS4 sedans for only two model years.

mind. exploded.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 17:31 |

Good for you! I hate nearly all Audis but the B7 RS4 has always held special place in my heart.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 18:58 |
|
That's not true at all. The RS4 handles much better than the BRZ. It has much less harsh suspension too making it an amazing daily.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 19:02 |
|
BRZ is a very uncomfortable daily driver. Plus I've always wanted a V8.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 19:05 |

The one pictured is my car. I took the picture.
![]() 12/21/2014 at 20:18 |

Ah I assumed from your socal comment that it was not your car, my bad. Enjoy!

One of the perks about living in Southern California is that typically the mountains are equal distance to the beaches (meaning, not very far). So, we essentially have the best of all worlds.
Well, I mean, you can't experience the gross humidity of the South out here, but who would want to?

Makes sense. :) Many happy miles. Also, I need to rewatch Frisky Dingo.
